THE GOLD BAR A 3D PRINTED BICYCLE ACCESSORY

If there’s 2 things I really enjoy it is 3D printing and bicycles.

With that I introduce the Gold Bar!

Have you ever wanted to mount somethings to the water bottle cage holes on a bike frame but found that there just isn’t enough room for all the things?

Well the Gold Bar solves that by mounting to the holes and then expanding the number of mounts and adding additional adjacent surfaces on each side.

This model can then easily be 3D printed with a nice strong filament such as PETG. The special sauce is then to add tapered heat set threaded inserts which you can find the 5mm version on McMaster-Carr here. These metal threads are 100x better than any plastic or even a captured nut.

From there the possibilities are endless such as adding Can Cozy or more!
